Ordering & Collecting Prescriptions
Please note that prescriptions ordered during practice closure days will only be processed by staff on next working day. Please allow at least 48hrs for your request to be processed before collecting. Requests for prescriptions to be sent to chemists may take longer!
There are 4 different options for ordering a repeat prescription.
Please read through the following options:
Order online: by accessing the link above.
Order via a separate telephone line: (02887 726616)
Between the hours of 9am-11.30am & 2.00pm – 2.30pm. (If you are able to access online services we would
prefer you to use option 1)
Using the right hand side of your prescription, tick the medication you
require and post to the practice.
A prescription request box is available at reception. You may
use either the right hand side of your prescription or write a short note
detailing your request clearly. Please include your name, date of birth and a
telephone number in case we need to contact you.
Repeat prescriptions should be ordered 48hrs in advance & can
be collected next day at the practice following a 48hr request. Acute prescriptions may also have a turn around time of 48hrs. Please contact your Community Pharmacist as you may be able to get free medications for minor conditions via the 'Pharmacy First' scheme or the 'Minor Ailments' scheme. OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATION WILL NOT BE PRESCRIBED BY THE PRACTICE.
You can also inform reception staff if you would like your prescription collected by one of the local
chemists (if service available) - please allow up to 3 days for this service.
Patients on repeat prescriptions should have their medication reviewed at regular intervals. If the practice has not been in contact with you concerning this, please make an appointment with your GP.
