Planned Road Closure due to Drainage Improvements:

Dear patients

Diversions will be in place from the 12th of June - 7th July 2023, due to drainage improvements being carried out on the Carland Road. (Please see the link to information below).  Please allow additional time for your journey to the practice, to ensure you arrive for your appointments on time.

Prescription Line Changes

Dear Patients, please note that from Monday 22nd May 2023, the access times for the afternoon prescription line will revert back to pre-covid times.  It is hoped that those patients with access to the internet will choose to register for online prescriptions to help ease the pressure on the prescription telephone line.  Only those patients without internet access should be using the telephone line.

New Prescription Line Access Times:

9am - 11.30am

2pm - 2.30pm

The online system provides you with 24hr access and prevents frustrating queuing.  Registration is extremely easy, you can also do this from your smart phone!  Please register on the 'Prescription Tab' on this site.  Please allow 48/72hrs for your prescription to arrive at your pharmacy.

Dear Patient

We wish to inform you, that after many years of dedicated service to Parkview Surgery, Dr Garland will be retiring from practice in the summer.  We are sure you will join with us in wishing him a happy, healthy and restful retirement.  

Easter 2023 Holiday Closure:

The practice will be closed over the Easter period on the following dates:

Monday 10th April 2023  (Full day closure)

Tuesday 11th April 2023 (Full day closure)

AccuRx Texting & Video Consultation Service

AccuRx is a new secure web based service we are using to assist us if we need to contact you. AccuRx enables us to send a text message to you directly from a member of the practice to the mobile number held on your individual medical record. This provides instant communication from the clinical or administrative team straight to our patients.  A copy of this text is automatically retained in your notes.  Our clinical team are now also able to carry out a consultation with you via video.  A link will be sent to your mobile phone to enable you to connect to the secure online video consultation. 

The practice name will always be at the bottom of the message when we are sending you information or links.

Please help us to help you by keeping your mobile number up-to-date.

It is hoped that the majority of patients will register online to make their prescription requests. The online system provides you with 24hr access and prevents frustrating queuing on the very busy prescription line. You are also welcome to post your prescription request or leave at the front desk. Registering for online prescriptions is extremely easy. You can also do this from your Smart phone! Please register on the prescriptions tab of this site.

Prescription line hours: 9.00am - 11.30am and 2.00pm - 4pm.
