Dear Patients
Due to the RED weather warning issued for Northern Ireland on Friday 24th January 2025, the practice will be closed to normal operating services. Should you develop a condition that is medically urgent on the day or have run out of medication, please contact the practice via the main telephone line. Please note we will be operating with skeleton staff, so please be patient if you have to wait longer than usual for your call to be answered. The safety of our patients and staff remains our utmost concern.
In the event of a medical emergency, such as chest pain or collapse, please ring 999.

ACCESSING PRIVATE HEALTHCARE - INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS
Dear Patients,
As a result of the pressures on the entire NHS, patients are often seeking to expedite their care by seeing Consultants privately. If you choose to avail of private healthcare, there are some things you must take into consideration before doing so. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions by patients, that you may find helpful if you are considering going private. Prescription Line Changes
Dear Patients, please note that from Monday 22nd May 2023, the access times for the afternoon prescription line will revert back to pre-covid times. It is hoped that those patients with access to the internet will choose to register for online prescriptions to help ease the pressure on the prescription telephone line. Only those patients without internet access should be using the telephone line.
New Prescription Line Access Times:
9am - 11.30am
2pm - 2.30pm
The online system provides you with 24hr access and prevents frustrating queuing. Registration is extremely easy, you can also do this from your smart phone! Please register on the 'Prescription Tab' on this site. Please allow 48/72hrs for your prescription to arrive at your pharmacy.
AccuRx Texting & Video Consultation Service
AccuRx is a new secure web based service we are using to assist us if we need to contact you. AccuRx enables us to send a text message to you directly from a member of the practice to the mobile number held on your individual medical record. This provides instant communication from the clinical or administrative team straight to our patients. A copy of this text is automatically retained in your notes. Our clinical team are now also able to carry out a consultation with you via video. A link will be sent to your mobile phone to enable you to connect to the secure online video consultation.
The practice name will always be at the bottom of the message when we are sending you information or links.

It is hoped that the majority of patients will register online to make their prescription requests. The online system provides you with 24hr access and prevents frustrating queuing on the very busy prescription line. You are also welcome to post your prescription request or leave at the front desk. Registering for online prescriptions is extremely easy. You can also do this from your Smart phone! Please register on the prescriptions tab of this site.
