ACCESSING PRIVATE HEALTHCARE - IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS!!
Dear Patients,
As a result of the pressures on the entire NHS, patients are often seeking to expedite their care by seeing Consultants privately. If you choose to avail of private healthcare, there are some things you must take into consideration before doing so. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions by patients, that you may find helpful if you are considering going private. Ordering a Prescription
Dear Patients, It is hoped that those patients with access to the internet will choose to register for online prescriptions to help ease the pressure on the prescription telephone line. Only those patients without internet access should be using the telephone line. You are also welcome to post your prescription request or leave it at the front desk.
Prescription Line Access Times:
9am - 11.30am
2pm - 2.30pm
The online system provides you with 24hr access and prevents frustrating queuing. Registration is extremely easy, you can also do this from your smart phone! Please register on the 'Prescription Tab' on this site. Please allow 48/72hrs for your prescription to arrive at your pharmacy.
AccuRx Texting & Video Consultation Service
AccuRx is a new secure web based service we are using to assist us if we need to contact you. AccuRx enables us to send a text message to you directly from a member of the practice to the mobile number held on your individual medical record. This provides instant communication from the clinical or administrative team straight to our patients. A copy of this text is automatically retained in your notes. Our clinical team are now also able to carry out a consultation with you via video. A link will be sent to your mobile phone to enable you to connect to the secure online video consultation.
The practice name will always be at the bottom of the message when we are sending you information or links.
